CURRENT RESEARCH / TAKE A SPIN:

Aaron Jones is a registered architect working in Detroit, MI and Tulsa, OK.
Aaron’s recent work operates under the belief that perhaps there are enough buildings - and he therefore contends that a progressive and ecologically framed future in architecture lies in the interpretation and adaptive reuse of existing structures.
“Aaron is a master of creating space inside of space. Not only does he recontextualize existing structures, but he also recontextualizes other forms of media. There is fluidity to the spaces he generates that stems from how he structures his mash-ups” - Wesley Taylor for The Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art
-
Aaron runs an experimental architecture studio which is concerned primarily with the research and development of media structures. This work often results in pop-up theaters, performance art installations, and entertainment portals which are in collaboration with leading creative professionals and organizations around the world. This studio reveals and expands audience types through mash-ups of content and infrastructure, resulting in architectures which are deeply themed.
This work has been recognized and supported by Art Omi, the MacDowell Colony, Venice Architecture Biennale, ArtPapers, The National Endowment for the Arts, and Cranbrook Academy of Art among many others.
